Hi folks

Been a while since i've posted on here but I got great help the last time and it would be brilliant if anyone can solve this annoying problem.

I started getting pop ups and fake scans from a virus called 'XP Defender Pro'. This soon escalated in me being unable to run AVG, then I got the blue screen of death and now my computer won't start up. I tried going into safe mode to run AVG, but although I can access the F8 menu, it begins to boot up but then freezes halfway through. (this happens on all safe mode options)

I'm on a DELL Dimension E520.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Let them know, your computer is not bootable.
