Dell Dimension 3000 with Windows XP Home OS SP3.
Tried to install a Brother MFC295CN with software disc.
Unit would not recognize hardware or install software.
Hardware Not Found. Software Not Found. On disc or internet.
Read that could uninstall USB Drivers and they would reinstall on reboot.
Didn't happen and now the Root Hubs have also disappeared.
Any Ideas or help will truly be appreciated.
Scan disc shows no problems, device manager is clean except for these missing drivers and root hubs.

You will need to reload the chipset drivers. There are 2 files needed.
1. the chipset installation software

2. the system software

These should fix your problem.
