Hi all,

In Outlook 2003 - when I open Outlook it automatically checks the mail. How can I disable this? I want to be able to open Outlook without downloading any message - I would prefer to check the mail manually.

I had a look in all the Options/settings and didn't see what I wanted.

Press tools then send receive at top then send receive settings then disable scheduled send / receive

Press tools then options then mail set up then send / receive then remove tick from schedule automatic send /receive

The first one will stop it, the second one is to make sure, tick apply
