"Trojan.gen" discovered 02-19-2010, was identified by Norton Systemworks 2006, but would not repair, remove or quarantine the infection.
I operate Windows XP on and HP
In response to suggestions from the Norton web-site,
I disabled System Restore, updated the virus definitions and ran a full system scan, once again, it identified, but would not eliminate the threat.

Again, in response to suggestions from the Norton web-site,
I started in "Safe Mode", with System Restore still disabled, I a full system scan, once again, it identified, but would not eliminate the threat.

Again, in response to suggestions from the Norton web-site,
I started in "Normal Mode", enabled System Restore, updated the virus definitions and ran a full system scan, once again, it identified, but would not eliminate the threat.

I would appreciate any suggestions,
Thanks,
Leeeemo
