I posted this in the hardware section and just realised its prob more suitable over here, sorry for posting this twice.

But the other night I went to a concert and took lots of pictures and videos, and my memory card actually got full and at the time I didn't know what was happening because it didn't tell me it was full or some sort of problem.
So I continued taking photos and videos, but now that I go to upload on my computer, a lot of the videos and pictures are corrupted. I was wondering if its possible to get the videos to work.

BUT I was stupid enough to format my memory card as I was a bit annoyed and wasn't thinking at the time and had to use the memory card the next day. However I do still have all the files on my computer though.

The error that I get when I open in Quicktime player is:
Error -2048: Couldn't open the file MVI_0211.MOV because it is not a file that Quicktime understands.

I mainly want to fix the Video files, is there any program of any way to fix these videos?

Thanks for the help

Hello,

Can you try VLC Media Player? That video player "understands" a lot more formats. Maybe it can play your videos.

Hi, I have dled VLC but it still doesn't play, I think the file was corrupted from the beginning, as I couldn't even watch the video clips on the camera at the time it's self

However the files on my computer, have something recorded, as the files themselves are 100mb each, so I'm just hoping there's still a way to be able to watch them

If it helps, I can upload one of the video files and someone can take a look at the problem.

Hello,

I can take a look, but I rather not download 100 mb. Do you have also smaller files? If not, its ok for me. But I rather download smaller files.

Hey Thunderbird1988, thanks for helping me out

I've uploaded one of the video clips, roughly 33mb, I think it should only be around 20-30 seconds if the clip works:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=28CKBTTO

I also noticed that most files after recording there is a .THM file along with every .MOV file, there are a couple of clips that don't have the .THM file, the above clip 33mb, doesn't have a .THM file.

If you need any other clips uploaded to play with, I can upload another one, but the next size is 88mb.

Thanks
