I currently use about 4 Portable versions of various Apps.
They work fine.

Yesterday I was excited when I read that SAS had a Portable version.
Then I read it was an MSDOS Application.
For some reason I got a little bit leery even though I used to work with MSDOS a lot back in its heyday.

I downloaded it anyway. I copied the 1 File into my Flash Drive.
I brought it up. It seemed normal.
Even though it was mentioned that downloading this SAS Portable version would include all the latest Definitions Updates at the time of dowloading, I went ahead and did a Check for Updates.

Well, it just hung there forever. I tried to shut it down via Task Manager.
My Hard Drive was now officially churning away nonstop. The Task Manager couldn't shut down this frozen status. Things kept getting worse until I only had a blank Desktop.

I finally had to resort to pressing the Power Button. Finally a Reboot ensued.
I quickly deleted this SAS Portable off of my Flash Drive.
IS it legit?
Is one supposed to be able to update the Definitions?
Or is one supposed to download the entire SAS Portable version again anytime we want to make sure we have the latest Definitions?
