Since you have a 20gb drive (which is old) and a google search on the drive both show it to be a ide drive (3 1/2 inch)
Maxtor is good. Also western digital or seagate.

Make of the HD should not make a difference.
I personally never liked Maxtor.
I'm a Western Digital person.
I also like the Samsung Spinpoint drives.

Hi Guys, and thank you for all your help.
I really do appreciate it.
I would be lost without it.

I don't need anymore help with memory ram question.
But I will with the Hard Drive questions.

I will open a new post for the Hard Drive Info.

Once Again,
Thank-You'

There is one more thing I would like to know.
Since I'm running Windows XP Home And Windows XP pro.
Could I upgrade to Windows 7, or would it be inadvisable?
Reason I'm asking is, I needed help with my new printer from HP.
The Tech. from HP mentioned it, said I could get a good deal,
since I was a HP customer, but I wanted to double check.
Thanks,
John

I wouldn't advise it using your existing HD. I think you will find no room left on the HD.
If you do upgrade your HD then yes I would advise to go to Win7.
Before doing so I would suggest going to the Windows 7 Upgrade Adviser.
This will let you know if any hardware or software will have any issue with win 7.
