Hi Guys,
I have a really stupid question for you. You must understand that I really am very stupid when it comes to computers. I recently bought a netbook that runs on Linux. I was trying to install an update and it said that the computer would need to be restarted. When it tried to restart, it got stuck on a black screen with some text including instructions not to power off. Despite the instructions, I did power off as the machine was frozen for quite some time. Now when I try to turn it on, the machine powers up as the lights come on, however nothing happens on the screen. It there any way to reboot or to get the machine working again?

Thanks,

Louise

Since the netbook is new, you should be able to contact the manufacturer and have them troubleshoot with you. They usually have a 1-800 number included in the packaging.
