Help, I got this error and nothing is working.

I did not have my vista cd so I followed the instructions from here:
http://www.geekstogo...pt-t242795.html

but when i boot from the cd it runs the setup then when it tries to start, i now get a blue screen with the following error codes

stop: 0x0000007e (0xc0000005, 0xf85480bf, 0xf8994208, 0xf8993f08)

I feel like its because the setup is for xp, but I am running windows

any help would be awesome.

"I feel like its because the setup is for xp, but I am running windows"

??

Please explain more clearly what you mean by the sentence above. As it is, it doesn't make much sense.

@phillipcorcoran and SpywareDr, My mistake guys, what I actually meant to say is that the restore was for xp but I am actually running Vista business.

I upgraded from XP professional.

I have not really had any problems, I have noticed that the fan runs a lot more now.. but that's about it

If the fans are running faster than normal, I would tend to suspect overheating. Usually caused by clogged heat sink(s), dust/lint blocking intake vents, dirty fan blades, etc.

Whats the best process to use in your opinion?
