when I insert CD light flashes then stops can't play cd/ dvd

I have code39 for driver HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC-44808 I confess I

accidently removed sound realtek and restored it but I can't restore

this drive I could play CD until I messed it up thanks

Don`t pay attention to this being a Gateway link, the fixes pertain to all types of computers: http://support.gatew...006110917.shtml I would probably start with tip#5, you will see it says go to Microsoft Knowledge Base 314060(in blue), there sould be a "Auto Fix"(or at least inst on the filters there, I would try that first, if that fails, start looking at the other fixes suggested in the Gateway link.
