Ok so when I went to turn my laptop on, it said the "windows/system32/config/system file is missing or corrupt. You can attempt to repair this file be starting windows setup using origional setup CD-ROM. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair."
But I need help with inputting the commands it asks for in the Recovery Console. Can anyone help me??

When you access Recovery Console, type chkdsk /r. After it finishes, restart your computer to see if your computer is backup and operating properly, if not, please reference this article How to recover from a corrupted registry that prevents Windows XP from starting
