I'm looking into purchasing an external hard drive, and I'm really confused about which one I should get lol I need something relatively cheap (under $100), as much space as possible, and preferably something that doesn't require an AC adapter, as I'm a college student who moves around a bit. My biggest issues are price and the AC adapter.

I'm running a Compaq Presario V2000 laptop (old, I know lol) with Windows XP on it

I know this is terribly vague :) Any suggestions? Thanks!

Most 2.5" drives can run off of a powered USB port:
