Problem 1 of 2: My Yahoo email was hijacked recently. My account was locked out. I changed the password and logged on only to find all the contacts were gone and I had several auto-response replies to my SPAM SCAM emails. Even though I changed the password, I assume I should cancel this account completely, correct?

problem 2 of 2: Please look at this recent hijackthis scan and advise. I am not sure if my email was stolen by malicious software now on my computer or if someone used software to track keyboard stokes and hacked my password and loggin info. My understanding is that hijackthis should show if malware is on my computer.

Hi Skybolt57

We do not look at hijack logs in the standard forums. Actually we do not use Hijack.
Since you state you were "hijacked", that indicates you have malware.

I suggest you go to the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal Forum and run all the steps located in the START HERE. These self-help tools will help you clean up 70% of problems on your own. If you are still having problems after doing the steps, then please post the reguested logs in THAT forum. If you are unable to run any of the tools then start a new topic in the malware forum and put this in the subject line...I am unable to run any malware tools

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
