Sorry, busy the last couple of days...
Windows Memory Diagnostic test is just as good, but memtest is great too.
Then I ran windows memory diagnostic again and it didn't find any problems this time
Can you get into windows at all? If you can, or next time you can, do this...
- Open with Explorer (or save to desktop)
- Extract Files to a location you can remember (Important)
- Double Click
- Scan will finish, Click Edit, then select "Select All"
- Click File, then Select "Save Selected Items"
- Save as BSOD.txt.
- Then navigate to and open BSOD.txt
- Copy and Paste the entire contents into your next reply
And let's look at the Event Viewer also:- Download VEW
- Save it to your Desktop
- Double-click VEW.exe
- Under "Select log to query", select System
- Under "Select type to list", select Critical(not in XP) and Error
- Tick the box for "Number of events" and enter 10
- Click the Run button.
- Notepad will open with the output log.
- Copy and paste that log into the next reply.
------------------------------------------ - Repeat again
- Click the box for "Date of events"
- In the From: boxes type a date 10 days ago (presuming the crash happened today) XX/XX/XXXX
- In the To: boxes type today's date (presuming the crash happened today) XX/XX/XXXX
- Click the Run button.
- Notepad will open with the output log.
- Copy and paste that log into your next reply.
Something screwy is going on.
Good luck.
