Hello,
I am not entirely sure if this in the right spot, but here goes. We have an HP PC with Windows Vista. It has been working fine. However a couple of weeks ago our free trial Anti-virus expired and we couldn't afford to buy a new one so we went with AVG. It has been doing the job fine until recently. Now our computer is giving us issues and I don't know if it its the computer or if we have a virus.
Every time we try and open a program such as Internet Expoler, Windows Media Player, etc. an "Open With" window pops up. The only way we can get programs to work is if we right-click the program and select start. This doesn't work with iTunes, however. When we try and open iTunes it says that the program cannot be found. We thought that maybe it was a virus, so we scanned the computer(AVG)and nothing came up. We then thought that maybe the virus protection was not good enough and to be safe in the future we purchased Norton Anti-virus online. But now when we try and download it, it won't let us. All we get is the "Open With" window with no programs but internet explorer. What is wrong? What do we do? Help! :)
Thank you for your time.
