How do I watch a .swf file?

I have downloaded some movies from Vimeo using the Firefox add-on "Sothink Flash Downloader"... The files I have downloaded are like example.swf

I can't play them using VLC media player... so please can anyone tell me how to watch my .swf downloaded movies? I would be most grateful

Why not just watch them on Vimeo?
It's legal that way.

Downloading movies off of sites like Vimeo or Youtube is against their Terms of Use.
