Issues after system restore

First of all thanks for the thanks with the below ticket. Although I needed to completely restore the system, it was very helpful.

I was trying to follow the process as suggested by your team on the below link:

Started with reset and re-enable system restore. However when I try to click on the system protection (I have windows vista), it gives an error: Error: Process cannot be executed.

Same happens, if I try to partition my hard disc. Does this means Virut is still out somewhere even after system restore? Note that I have not copied any data after system restore.

Should I do the windows update without the first reset and re-enable system restore?

I want to be very careful this time as I lost lot of data with this virus attack.

Looking forward for the advices.

With regards,

Shishir :)
