Howdy aidansmommy and Welcome to the Geeks to Go! Forums!

Create a Folder on the Desktop to place anything I may aske you to download!

To do this>Right Click the Desktop and Select New>Folder>Name it whatever you like!
Make sure to place all downloads inside this folder!

I am going to need you to download some utilities, please dont run them until I ask you to!

Please Update Ad Aware with the latest definitions and Configure it for a full system scan just as described in the below link!
http://www.bleepingc...showtutorial=48

Download LQfix.zip
http://users.pandora...atchy/LQfix.zip
Unzip it and save it to your desktop, don't use it yet!!

Download Pocket KillBox from here:
http://www.bleepingc...les/killbox.php

There is a Direct Download and a description of what the Program does inside this link.
Download>UnZip>Extract All Files and Have it ready to Use!

Download the Hoster from here
http://www.funkytoad...load/hoster.zip
Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program. This will restore the original deleted Hosts file.

Download F-Secure Blacklight Rootkit Elimination Technology
http://www.f-secure....light/try.shtml

Once at the page,Click "I Accept"

Then Click Download, which sits right under "Graphical user interface version"

Go to Add\Remove Programs and Remove

SurfSideKick 3
NavExcel\NavHelper

Reboot into SAFE MODE(Tap F8 when restarting)
Here is a link on how to boot into Safe Mode
http://service1.syma...src=sec_doc_nam

Doubleclick LQfix.bat that you saved on your desktop before.
A DOS Window will open and close again, this is Normal!

Right Click the Taskbar near the clock>Select Task Manager>Select Process>If you see an Instance of RunDll32.exe>Right Click and Select "End Process">Click "Yes" to the prompt that follows!

Please Highlight the list of files below>Right Click and Select Copy!

C:\WINDOWS\system32\exp.exe
C:\WINDOWS\cfgmgr52.dll
C:\WINDOWS\VCMnet11.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\wintask.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\kerromon.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\rvmlua.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\AUNPS2.DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\psoft1.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\rvmlua.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\kerromon.exe
C:\windows\system32\eliterct32.exe
C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\Ssk.exe
C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3
C:\Program Files\NavExcel\NavHelper\v2.0.4d\navapp.exe
C:\Program Files\NavExcel\NavHelper\v2.0.4d
C:\Program Files\NavExcel\NavHelper
C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3\Ssk.exe
C:\Program Files\SurfSideKick 3
C:\Documents and Settings\Brandy\Local Settings\Temp\Loader.EXE

Open Pocket KillBox and Click File>Paste from Clipboard!

You should now see the first file from the list in the Box labeled "Full Path of File to Delete"

If you Click the Down Arrow you should see the rest of the list!

As each File comes up for Deletion, place a tick by any of these options available

"Standard File Kill"
"End Explorer Shell while Killing File"
"Unregister .dll before Deleting"
"Deltree(Include Subdirectories)"

Once those are ticked,Click the Red Circle with the White X in the Middle to Delete!!

Please keep track of any files Killbox says cant be deleted!!

Open HijackThis and put a check by these but DO NOT hit the Fix Checked button yet!

Double Click blbeta.exe to Start it,then Click "I accept the agreement" and click "Next"

Now Click "Expert Mode" and then"Scan" and let it do its thing,if it finds anything,it will automatically tell you and go to Step 2 to begin the cleaning process!

If all went well, look back in the folder that blbeta.exe resides in,there you should see "fsbl.log"

If Blacklight identified anything,it will be in that log,I will need to see those Results!

2.Scan the PC with Ad Aware while in Safe Mode>Delete all it finds!

3.Run CleanUp!>When prompted log off>Click "No"

If you have a list of files that Killbox said couldnt be deleted>Copy&Paste them back into Killbox just as before and put a tick by "Delete on Reboot" and click the delete button!

If you get a PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process! message then just restart manually.

Restart in Normal Mode have the PC Scanned here:
Panda Active Scan

You will need to be using Internet Explorer for the Scan to work!

Save the Report it generates!

In the next post>put the log from Panda Active Scan>a fresh HijackThis log and the F-Secure log if one exist!
