That keeps happening. But if i Right click and click START instead. It will open the program. I recently had a virus, and kicked its head in. But i think this might be some last affects. Please help. its getting rather annoying to right click every time i want to open something.

First get your system checked out for any remaining malware by posting here:
http://www.geekstogo...emoval-f37.html

When the malware team tell you your PC is clean, there's a fix here that should restore the double-click to start programs: http://www.kellys-ko...m/xp_tweaks.htm

Scroll down to Line 12 "Exe fix for windows XP"

If using IE, double-click line 12 and save the reg file.
Double-click the reg file to apply it - then reboot.

If using Firefox, right-click line 12 and choose "Save link as" then proceed as above to apply it. Reboot.
