Hi, yes. I have a Dell Laptop that keeps shutting down for no appearent reason. It does this every 20-30 minutes without warning. I read that I should download a program called 'Hijackthis' and it might help solve the problem. (I've had this computer for over a year and this is the first time it's started shutting down). Anyways, I ran the program and trend micro said to post results to a forum so they can be analyzed. Here they are , please guide me the the right direction, and thanks so much! :)

EDIT : No HJT logs outside the malware forum please

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go! :)

I suggest taking a look at the Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide. This will help you disinfect the majority of malicious software from your system. If that doesn't solve your problem, post a new thread in the Virus, Spyware and Trojan Removal Forum.
