Printer Won't Print

I have an HP 9800 Deskjet and am running 64bit Vista. I have updated the native windows drivers based on other help threads. The problem is that when I send a print job to the printer it leaves the print queue but never actaully prints out?!? I am open to suggestions to try and figure this out. The computer "sees" the printer and even does the windows 'bong' when I power up/down and plug/unplug the USB cable, but still no print.
