my mouse is not working.

the mouse of my pc system is not working.
the cursor is not moving at all.
sometimes the mouse works for few seconds after reboot and then gets struck.
sometimes it won't work for those few seconds also.
i am using the same mouse for the past 2 years with out any problem.
its PS/2 port optical mouse.

please help me,

1) Hardware Error
2) Dead Mouse : Laser or Ball
3) USB Port : Check connections & USB Connector on mouse

Press Ctrl,Alt + Del to test your computer your PC is not crashing..

Go to BIOS and make sure that the device is listed in the BOOT Options alongside Keyboard.

But yes, as Broni asked Did you try a different Mouse ?
