I had a bad virus infect my comp a few months ago. Some guys over on another website helped remove it (or at least I believe it removed all of it). Ever since this has happened I have not been able to update antivirus software such as malwarebytes. When I go to update it says there is an error. What is even more disconcerning is the fact that I am in the starcraft 2 beta (have multiple accounts). I have downloaded the beta software on this computer but when I run the beta it stalls for a while and then goes into the game (without updating the recent patch?!!?!?therefore I cannot play the beta on this comp). So in essence the starcraft beta is not updating (never had this problem on another computer and it is supposed to automatically update). I tried running the update for the beta manually and it still didn't work. I believe there is either a hidden trojan on my computer (not likely because for some reason I can get superantispyware to update after reinstalling it and it found a trojan today and wiped it out) or something was manually disabled the last time I was helped which affected the ability of several programs to run an update or search for a new patch.

Please help me :=(

I suggest that you start a new topic in the Malware Removal and Spyware Removal area.

Before you start a new topic click on this link --> Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide, Please read before starting a new topic. This will give you a few preparations to make, as well as instruction for posting your OTListIt2 log.

If you are still having problems after being given a clean bill of health from the malware expert, then please return to THIS thread and we will pursue other options to help you solve your current problem(s).
