I'm wondering what it would cost to build a PC for a home entertainment center. It will be connecting to a 5.1 channel sony surround sound and a 52" 1080p sony lcd. It needs to be able to play dvd and blu ray at max resolution without a problem. A blu ray drive probably won't be included in this purchase due to the still high price, but it needs to be able to upgrade to one in the future. Also, it needs to be on the small/medium size and not cause TOO much noise.

If it will cost $700+ then don't bother suggesting a build.

Edit: If Linux is a viable solution for backing up dvd's then you can include that instead of windows to save money.
