Every so often, I get a pop-up of two boxes. The first one says "Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service has stopped working". It says that Windows is collecting information to send to Microsoft. The second box says "Do you want to send more information about the problem?", and lists files that supposedly describe the problem to Microsoft. Her are the files:
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_wmpnetwk.exe_79c9e57a9a93f3fcda86f8c91a65ff2fa305d_cab_1356900e\WER8F05.tmp.appcompat.txt
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_wmpnetwk.exe_79c9e57a9a93f3fcda86f8c91a65ff2fa305d_cab_1356900e\WER9000.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportQueue\AppCrash_wmpnetwk.exe_79c9e57a9a93f3fcda86f8c91a65ff2fa305d_cab_1356900e\WER9010.tmp.WERDataCollectionFailure.txt

If you click on "send information", the boxes go away, only to return 20 minutes later.
Can anyone help me figure this one out?

Just go into MSCONFIG, then the services tab, and uncheck Windows Media Playet Network Sharing Services, click apply, reboot, and you won't see that error anymore.
