Good day, this is the first time that I have posted here. I have 2 computers that sometimes they are slow, sometimes not. i was hoping that this community could help in speeding things up. One computer at a time, of course.

so, to get started, what should i do to provide you information beyound that i am operating Windows XP. the reason i say that it is slow is that simple processes like opening up a MS Office blank document takes up to 5 minutes to open. really, i timed it once.... 5:13.

i have heard about this HiJack This program, so i thought i would offer the forum the log file, any help would be appreciated!

LadyCricket-

Hi and welcome to Geeks to Go! :)

I suggest taking a look at the Malware and Spyware Cleaning Guide. This will help you disinfect the majority of malicious software from your system. If that doesn't solve your problem, post a new thread in the Virus, Spyware and Trojan Removal Forum.

Hope that helps! Let me know if there's anything else I can do to assist you. :)
