Possible Vundo virus; Please help!?

Hello guys!

I'm absolutely belated to have found this wonderful site! Recently, I have had a virus which I believe to be related to VUNDO; as it has come up in many virus scans I have made. For now, all I know of to do is run a virus scan, and post a HJT log. Some of the measures I had resorted to were, removing Avast after it failed to detect the virus, and purchased NOD 32. After doing so, I had noticed, NOD 32, after running a full system scan, had detected a large amount of virus' or infections, around 1,000. After removing them, the virus seemed to still be there. I then had one of my "techy-friends" remove some potentially harmful registry keys. In doing so, some of my very annoying errors stopped showing. As I logged onto my Windows XP Home Edition account, I received errors such as "insert .dll here" is not a valid windows image. Now I'm getting continuous pop-ups and I have no idea what to do.
