Hi, im posting this on behalf of my friend, he tried to start his computer and gets hit with an error message, something along the lines of "Your computer cannot start this may be due to a recent hardware or software change" then displays some information about "comklhzf.sys is corrupt" i have searched the internet and cant find anything relating to that file. anyone know what this could be? i have tried using the recovery disk etc but says cant fix the problem. thanks

I have been informed that this could be a possible virus infection - i cant boot into windows by any means of method safemode etc etc.

It's a random named infector so you can't find anything on the net.

Your recovery disk has an option to do a Command Prompt. If you go into command prompt you might be able to replace the comklhzf.sys file with something innocent like beep.sys:

cd \windows\system32\drivers

attrib -r -h -s comklhzf.sys

copy beep.sys comklhzf.sys

(I used two spaces to show where a single space should go. Hit Enter after each line.) If that allows it to boot then quickly do step 5 of the guide http://www.geekstogo...uide-t2852.html
and post (Copy and Paste) the logs.)
