I have Windows 7 and all the sudden I have all of these "Windows Alerts," I can tell that they are fake, that ask me if I want to install a virus remover now. There are three types of alerts: the first one is the little windows box that asks me if I want to start up Windows virus remover, the second is the "windows virus protection box," and the third is the actual program asking me if I want to buy as it says its checking my computer for viruses. I pulled up firefox once on it and then the second time it said that the virus has infected it and it wont work until I buy the virus protection program, and it does that for every program that I start-up. How do I remove this?

so I started a topic in the Malware Forum.

You are in very good hands then. They are specially trained to handle situations like yours. Be patient, they get pretty busy over there. Good Luck :)
