Well you got it mostly right, but I'm going to move this to the appropriate forum. You have posted in the Windows forum and we need to put this in the malware removal area. No worries though :tazz:

Gimme a few hours as I am in class right now and I will go through your log.

Well I'm not really seeing anything that looks harmful in your log. Place a check in the boxes next to these entries:

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyOverride = 127.0.0.1;<local>
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar,LinksFolderName =

Now click the "Fix Checked" button at the bottom. After this is done then close Hijack This. Now right click a blank area of your desktop and click properties. Click the desktop tab, customize desktop button and then click the "Web" tab. Uncheck anything that may be checked in the list and also delete anything in the list except for My Current Page. Don't check that though. Now click ok and restart the computer.

Glad to hear it :tazz: What was the problem just out of curiosity? Was there something listed under the Web tab? What was it?

Box Boxes Desktop & Web were ticked. I just did what you suggested and unticked them both. Don't know what all that means but I can't thank you enough for your help. Regards Jo
