Vista doesn't load past Windows Logo after system restore

I recently reinstalled my vista system. I then did a windows update which caused a 3 of 3 configuration loop. I completed a system restore, and now my computer won't load past the windows logo. I am currently on the computer on safe mode with networking.

how can i fix this??
