So my 2005 HP tower kicked the bucket a couple of weeks ago, and I'm in need of a new PC.

My mom has a couple of requirements:
Fairly futureproof (ie, it will run decently in 4-5 years)
Not over $1000.

My requirements:
Good case ventilation
Decent graphics card
at least 500GB HDD space

I was thinking of getting this computer from ibuypower: http://www.ibuypower.../Gamer_Fire_600
Is it a decent deal?

Hi mkau! :)

From wat I see in that website you gave, here's my opinion:

If you want a good ventilation in your case, NZXT Tempest EVO Mid Tower Gaming Case would be a great one for maximum airflow.

The graphics card which is the 5830 is pretty decent already since it supports direct x11 games.

As for the motherboard you can use this option which is the:

Gigabyte GA-770TA-UD3 -- AMD 770 Chipset w/8-ch HD Audio, GB LAN, 1 PCI-E MB.

This few changes should round it to about a total of $990 which is below a grand.

Hope that helps :)

Hi.

My concern would be the PSU indicated on the web page, it is not branded nor does it appear to be 80% plus so, it could be a cheap componant.
