OK lets look at Spybot now - remove the spybots host file data

Hosts File tab.
Spybot comes with its own hosts file, which contains an extensive list of Web sites known for spyware; you can view this list on the Hosts File tab. When this file is installed, no content from any of the sites in it will be displayed. To install the Spybot hosts file, click on the Hosts File tab.
At the top of the Hosts File screen, click on Add Spybot-S&D Hosts List. The Spybot hosts file will now be used instead of your default hosts file.

To remove the Spybot hosts file, click on Remove Spybot-S&D Hosts List.

I switched to advanced mode but I do not see anything resembling a host file tab. I do see a blacklist file in root directory but I cant open it.

I would like to confirm that it is just the torrent sites you are having problems with. Windows updates and AV sites are OK ?

Could it be your ISP blocking it ?

No, it has been other sites too. I just have the torrent sites bookmarked and notice them more often. If I restart my PC, and go directly to those sites, they will load and navigate for appx. 2 min. I still have the processes avg, net, avguard.exe and avshadow.exe running and cannot be terminated. I have Malwarebytes, AVGtray and Sun Java Update on a 30 second delay at startup. Could one of these be the problem? I still think it is due to one or more of the running processes. I have been inside and out of Windows security and couldn't find anything apparent.

Those processes may be the Avira antivirus.

Yes Avira does use similar names - OK a little test could you reboot to safe mode with networking and see if you can access the site

OK it was AVG that was blocking you - we now need to remove the AVG net element. Could you locate that path for me please

Start Task manager
Right click that process
Select properties and post the location

I thought AVGnt was part of AVG - wrong

Go to normal mode and disable Avira - then try the website - if it is still no go then we will have to reset your firewall settings

Also could you uninstall Spybot for now

OK go to start > run and type in the following bolded text

netsh firewall reset

If this doesn't work then there is still part of AVG or another firewall blocking you
