wireless connection problems

My wireless picks up on networks but does not connect and says its because of some unknown problem.

Not much to go on (though that's not your fault if it just says "unknown problem") but you might want to try changing the router's wireless channel to a higher number if it's currently on the low side. Needs to be somewhere between 9-12. Anything which connects wirelessly to it will automatically re-adjust to the channel change.
