Hello,

I just had a nasty multiple malware infection including WinSterHJK v.2011 and some others I couldn't identify. After following your initial steps, it appears to be cleared -- the ewido program in particular seemed like the one that did it. In addition to the desktop hijack, I also had some embedded program that was spewing gambling and [bleep] icons all over my desktop that couldn't be erased -- v. annoying. I would appreciate it if a trained eye could review my HiJack This log to ensure that dangerous lurking malware has been removed.

Thanks in advance -- y'all are providing a valuable and appreciated service.

Close all programs leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Synchronization Manager] mobsync.exe /logon
O9 - Extra button: Related - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - F:\WINNT\web\related.htm
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Show &Related Links - {c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} - F:\WINNT\web\related.htm
O9 - Extra button: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {5573F227-6EA0-4673-A2DE-667B9EBA4DDF} - (no file) (HKCU)
O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: Microsoft AntiSpyware helper - {5573F227-6EA0-4673-A2DE-667B9EBA4DDF} - (no file) (HKCU)

Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

Reboot your computer and repost back here with a new log for someone to take a look at, please tell us how your computer is running :tazz:
