My first clue something was rotton, was when i had process running called Select Cash Back.

the lavasoft hadn't been run in three weeks and it found almost 400 critters... after running it about threee times it got down to about 90 criiters.. and well please help..
I'm sorry but I'm not updated to SP2 b/c I'm not "clean" and i read that i should be clean first..

I also have a "TC moniter" running unsuccfully as in it is part of startup and has an error every time it loads.. an a few things that stlak about ipod.. i don't have an ipod.. anyway..

next, While TeaTimer is an excellent tool for the prevention of spyware, it can sometimes prevent HijackThis from fixing certain things.
Please disable TeaTimer for now until you are clean. TeaTimer can be re-activated once your HijackThis log is clean.

• Open Spybot Search & Destroy.
• In the Mode menu click "Advanced mode" if not already selected.
• Choose "Yes" at the Warning prompt.
• Expand the "Tools" menu.
• Click "Resident".
• Uncheck the "Resident "TeaTimer" (Protection of overall system settings) active." box.
• In the File menu click "Exit" to exit Spybot Search & Destroy.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Unzip it to the desktop but please do NOT run it yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please double-click on Nailfix.cmd. Your desktop and icons will disappear and reappear, and a window should open and close very quickly --- this is normal.

Then please run Ewido, and run a full scan. Save the logfile from the scan.

Next please run HijackThis, click Scan, and check:
Close all open windows except for HijackThis and click Fix Checked.

the files are missing so they won't cause any real harm. as of rhte ipod service if you want to stop that from loading you can do the following.

Click on start>run then type MSCONFIG and hit enter. next go to the Services tab and find the entry for Ipod and remove the checkmark. you can, if you want to, also remove the checkmark for these entries.

WinTools for IE service (WinToolsSvc)

Next, clcik on teh startup tab and remove the check next to the Ipod entry, restart your computer, when it pops up the window that says you chosen selctive startup etc.., just put a check mark in teh little white box that say "don't show this message in the future" you'll never see it again and Ipod service won't load at bootup.

the debug manger is a program designed to help track errors on your system. its ok to leave that one running, unless you want to shut it down.
