Windows restore question

Ok my computer runs for about an hour ( or varies it could run for more or less time) and then grinds to a hault and doing any task is almost imposibble. Logging off or shutting down is only occasionally posibble after 10-15mins so shutting down by holding the power button is the only option.
I ran sfc/scannow and it came up saying i had corrupt files see below:

I tried to acess the file it mentioned but it tells me access is denied.

I am thinking of doing a system restore to about a week ago, will this just restore windows to its previous state and leave my documents alone? Or will it roll back any new documents etc?

OR does anyone have any ideas about the problem mentioned above
