Hello,

I'm brand new to this site and hope you guys can help me. I am currently living in Germany and am having some difficulties navigating to certain sites from here. When I try to go to certain sites, like Google (this one's not a huge issue, but one that does it), it automatically takes me to the German site, google.de, instead of the US site, google.com, even though I type in .com. Is there any way to keep this from happening? It is very frustrating when I'm trying to get to these certain sites that also have German ones. With google, it winds up giving me more German results than English and I don't speak a lick of it.

Please help??!! :)

for google try www.google.us (also try .us for other ones and see if those make a difference)

If you can sign into Google you can change the language and version of Google you get on the "preferences" page.
