Not sure when it happened or what I was doing but task mgr. screen has changed - now longer has an exit button. Have to restart computer to get rid of the screen when I use it. Can advise?

Using:

Dell XPS 400 Dimension
XP Pro Version 2002 SP3
Pentium ® D CPU 2.80 GHz
2.79 GHz, 2.00 GB Ram
using IE 8

Sorry, I dont know why this happened, but a way to get out of it without restarting is:

under processes, find taskmgr.exe and click end proccess.

the menu bar and tabs may not be visible if Task Manager is running in the "Tiny Footprint mode". If you double-click the empty space in the border around the tabs, Task Manager switches to this mode. To switch Task Manager to its typical display mode, double-click the top border of the window.
