I have uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Live Photo Gallery but the problem remains. I open Windows Live Photo Gallery, Task Manager and nothing else. The CPU usage for WLXPhotoGallery.exe fluctuates around 90% to 95%, seemingly to continue forever. Deleting the "Windows Live Contacts" folder, as some suggest, has no effect.
Anyone have any ideas?

Programs are supposed to use the CPU, that's what it's there for. The bigger, badder and faster the CPU the better ... use ALL of it and hurry up about it. Why have a 700 HP Mustang if you're only ever going to use 100 HP? :)

Now, if the program is hogging the CPU and not allowing anything else to run, (or causing everything else to run extremely slowly), then that's a different story. It could be because you're attempting something like pulling a 100-foot yacht behind a Honda Civic. :)

Which CPU are you running, (Atom or i7)? How much RAM do you have? How fast (RPM) is the hard drive? How much free space on the hard drive?
