Can't play playstation 2 through my router

Hi there

I am having trouble playing the playstaion 2 through my router. I'm in France and have a neufbox but I imagine the ports and everything are similar to those elsewhere. It could of course be a problem with my playstation network adaptor. Is this something that anyone knows about or should I ask elsewhere?
