I turned on my computer today and it said that Windows needs to do a drive check on Drive C. I let it check it but I was just wondering if that's a bad thing. Does it do that on occasion or is there something wrong with my computer?

It depends.
If it happened just once and the computer is still working fine, I wouldn't worry too much about it.
