The first fix was the one you told me what to do: to uninstall everything and unplug the computer. but the next time i turned my computer on, the USB ports didn't work anymore

Is there a way to fix this?
Like for Windows 7 it works everytime I uninstall my drivers and then restart it..

Thanks

Another thing was, that before I switched to 7, XP started to have this problem as well, so I don't think its this individual version of Windows 7 :)
Thanks

Did you format completely when you installed to 7? Or upgrade through Vista to 7? Or install 7 where it keeps your XP install under the Windows.Old folder?

Code 43
Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)
Recommended resolution

One of the drivers controlling the device notified the operating system that the device failed in some manner.

If you have already run the Troubleshooting Wizard, you might want to check the hardware documentation for more information about diagnosing the problem.

Some other research I read says something about problems with the registry, although no fix was mentioned.

Are you able to backup your data and try another format/fresh install?

Yes I am talking to you, why are you laughing? Who else would I be helping? I'm confused.

I know that quote isn't from me, I quoted it from the MS Support pages for your benefit.

Oh no, sorry if I have confused you but I did not have code 43 was my point.
Code 43 was a problem another person had and they posted here.
sometimes I do get a bluescreen after turning off though. It says myI have to turn off the 32 bit away mode funtion in my BIOS since I have a 64 bit operating system.

Thanks

I'm sorry, I realized that was the same problem I had.
Is there a possible way of fixing it through the registry?
