Hello,
I am not very computer lliterate - so please excuse in advance any obvious ignorance.
I just purchased a small laptop (Gateway Solo 2500) at a yardsale today.
It has no operating system at this point (I am on a different computer right now).
What can I do cheaply to get this little baby up and running?
I purchased it for fun only....

I assume you don't have the disk for the computer you are on now?
Do you want windows you could always use another operating system
such as Linux - this is a free download and very good

Yes, I do have the disc that came with this laptop. I was kind of interested in trying a different operating system... Is Linux very different from Microsoft?
