I have ubuntu 9.10 (installed in my XP) and I updated it to 10.04, I restarted the computer and it comes up with an error:

error: fd0 cannot get c/h/s values
grub rescue>

I can't even boot into XP!

I'd be happy if you can help.

Ah - this problem is fixed. I went into recovery console on Win XP CD and typed in fixboot and fixmbr and it works. Thanks to me. :)
