Favorites Internet Explorer

I have repartioned and reformatted my hard disk and reinstalled XP. Before beginning I made a copy of the Internet Explorer favorites folder. However, Internet Explorer will not produce the list despite the fact that I have installed the original list in the same folder as before.

i.e E:\documents and settings/owner/favorites.

Can anyone help

Same edition of IE as before
Should not be a problem simply Import on IE toolbar menu
