characters in laptop keyboard changed

Hello all! My laptop keyboard went crazy after chatting in facebook - all the keys on the right are changed: "*" instead of "P", "6" instead of "L"...That happened while the chat box was still open. I have already removed the battery, let it rest for some minutes, reboot, but no joy. I also ran the scan (AVG)and the CCleaner but nothing was removed.
Could it be a virus? How can I fix it?

Sounds like you may have accidently toggled NumLock on.

Try pressing the [NumLock] (or [NumLk]) key once.

If that doesn't work, try pressing [Fn]+[NumLock].
