My microsoft wireless mouse model:1025 never turns off so it uses up all the batter life even when I un plug it and up it in my back pack. It is always on 24/7.

Without downloading and reading the manual, if the mouse is supposed to power down after so many minutes of being idle, and I assume it is, but it doesn't, then you need a new mouse. That would not be a function of the computer or mouse software.
