TR/Dropper.Gen Virus?

My computer seemed to be infected with a Virus so I downloaded Avira AntiVirus. I also have AVG Anti-Virus. I'm running scans on both. My Avira turned up and said I have TR/Dropper.Gen virus and ADSPY/AdSpy.Gen. Will these be removed if I click "Remove" on Avira. How serious are these viruses?
