Hi there,

I just moved to a new apartment and my laptop running Windows 7 began crashing at seemingly random times and rebooting itself. Up until I moved, I did not have this problem. It seems to possibly be related to the wi-fi as it doesn't crash when I turn the wi-fi antenna on the laptop off.

I have only twice gotten an error message upon crash and reboot (dozens of times crashing, usually without an error message).

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.256.1
Locale ID: 1033

Additional information about the problem:
BCCode: 7f
BCP1: 0000000000000008
BCP2: 0000000080050031
BCP3: 00000000000006F8
BCP4: FFFFF80002A88E58
OS Version: 6_1_7600
Service Pack: 0_0
Product: 256_1

Files that help describe the problem:
C:\Windows\Minidump\052110-22245-01.dmp
C:\Users\Barbara\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-95597-0.sysdata.xml

I've also run WhoCrashed:

On Fri 5/21/2010 10:40:18 AM your computer crashed
This was likely caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe
Bugcheck code: 0x7F (0x8, 0x80050031, 0x6F8, 0xFFFFF80002A88E58)
Error: UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
Dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\052110-22245-01.dmp
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
The crash took place in a standard Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect, possibly the culprit is in another driver on your system which cannot be identified at this time.

Any idea what might be causing the laptop to crash and whether it can be fixed?

0x7F UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP is usually due to memory problems. Please download the Memtest86+ .iso from my signature, burn it to disc, and test your memory.

Did one pass with Memtest86+ and it found no errors. Should I let it scan again/two passes?

I let it run overnight (about 6 hours) and it still did not find any errors in the memory.

Any other ideas?
